Fractured Fairy Tales at WWA Gallery

Someone over at the WWA Gallery emailed me last week to tell me about a cool new show they have coming up titled "Fractured Fairy Tales," and basically, I think you all should go see it. It's a group art show that reinterprets the often solidly stylized look of classic fairy tales by having modern animators pay tribute to the fairytale animators before them. It's curated by Sandra Equihua and Drake Brodahl, at the WWA Gallery in Culver City, California, near LA. The opening reception is tomorrow, Saturday July 7, 2012 at 7 PM and the show runs through August 11, 2012. As usual, I'm stuck on the East coast, but some of our favorite animation artists here at Domestic Etch - like Brigette Barriger, Becca Stadtlander, Israel Sanchez, and Genevive Godbout - have work in the show, so it's sure to be fun. Check out the WWA website for more info or to get directions!

Awesome! I love fairytales and I've gone to and exhibited my artwork at that gallery. It's in the very hip downtown area of Culver City! A really fun place to visit!
