Paul X. Johnson

Hello lovies! I just got back from a two week trip to China, so sorry for the break in posting! I went to Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Longshan, Su Zhou, Guilin, and Yangshuo, and had an amaazing time. If I was a better photographer, I'd show you pictures, but I suppose I'll just stick to the pros for now.
Also, just reminding you that tomorrow is the last day to send in portfolios to be reviewed for inclusion in the next issue, so get on that if you're interested! Elizabeth@domesticetch.com with links or attached images, per usual.

Anyways, I was pre-ordering myself a copy of the lovely Paperbrains magazine, and after being absolutely smitten by the cover, looked up the artist to only realize I'd already seen his work on Kitsune Noir (Yes, which I still refuse to call the Fox is Black) a few months ago! I absolutely love flatness and pale colors Paul uses, and only wish he had more work online! Hopefully I can get him to make something for us one of these days...
As a side note, I wonder if the X is his real middle, and if it is, if it stands for Xavier, because I can't think of any other X names.

Stacey Rozich

Oh my, I am loving the work of Stacey Rozich right now! I couldn't tell you offhand what culture these husky and romantic beasts belong to, but boy do I wish it was mine. Like a geometric "Where the Wild things are" on Chinese acid. Here's her site for more. (Via Drawn)
