Lauren McKeller

Her embroidery masks may be some of the coolest things I have ever seen.
I stuck some more of her work after this blurb as well, I love her modern take on all the 50's images she uses, and the round and triangular shapes. Great textures as well.

Maaike Verwijs

Absolutely one of my favorite artists right now. I just love the use of white on some of them to make them look almost like undeveloped photos, or views into frosty windows. It contrasts so well with the bright colors, and unique scenes and shapes inside. The subtle textures are really fantastic as well. Bravo!

I admire when people can use digital drawing to create such organic pieces.

I know no one else who can use copic markers this well and artistically. And I do love me some Patrick Wolf....

Mel Stringer

Absolutely charming and distinctive. I love that she's able to do these fun quirky little blob girls, and also have such an amazing "le portrait" series. Look at her flickr for the whole set (she's taking commissions for christmas!)
